Easy Italian Stromboli.

Easy Italian Stromboli.


INGREDIENTS:

- 2 pizza doughs, (I got mine from our favorite pizza shop, I highly recommend doing this if you aren’t making yours from scratch).

- 2 cup of sauce, extra for serving.

- 1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded.

- 1/4 lb of pepperoni/salami.

- Fresh basil leaves.

- 1/4 lb of ham, sliced thin.

- 1/4 lb of Swiss cheese, sliced thin.

- 1/2 cup of ricotta, seasoned with salt and pepper.

- 1 egg.

- 2 tbsp garlic powder.

- Fresh parsley for garnish.

METHOD :

Preheat your oven to 425. Lay down some parchment paper and roll out one of your doughs to make it long and square. 

Use 1 cup of your sauce leaving an inch from the sides, then top with your pepperoni, cheese and basil leaves. 

Begin rolling like a cinnamon roll and tuck & pinch in the sides as you do so. 

It should result in looking like a long loaf. 

Use the parchment paper to help mold. 

Repeat these steps but using your last of the sauce, ham, ricotta, and Swiss in the other dough. 

Whisk your egg in a bowl and begin egg washing your Stromboli’s on the tops and sides. 

Cut slits on top and sprinkle both with your garlic powder. 

Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 25-35 mins. 

The top should be golden brown. 

Take out to cool before cutting. 

Garnish with parsley and serve with extra sauce.
